HYDRAULIC SYSTEM DESIGN

Course duration: 

3 days face-to-face

6 x 2-hour online sessions

During the Hydraulic System Design course, the following topics are presented:

 - Sizing the mechanical load
- Sizing hydraulic actuators (cylinders & hydraulic motors)
- Determining the buckling point of a cylinder rod
- Graphical representation of machine duty cycle

 - Sizing pipes, hoses & fittings
- Directional valve selection (on/off and proportional)
- Pump & prime mover sizing
- Prime mover sizing
- Reservoir sizing
- Determining heating & cooling requirements
- Calculating system efficiency

In addition, each attendee will carry out a Case Study to practise the use of the formulae and selection criteria covered during the course.
